Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. He blends soul gospel jazz with R&B in a distinct mix. The singer has worked everywhere from Broadway up to The Democratic National Convention to the European music scene and the club scenes. Her real name is Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta however, she comes from Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing the piano in churches. Her musical career began in Atlanta in Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals Stalk You the House was only released in Japan. It's been remixed many times, and it is a mainstay of her live shows. The Fighting Temptations was the second soundtrack that she sang on. She was named the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) was approached for an opportunity to be the director of the choral section of Dreamgirls in Atlanta in the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was at the center of attention for the nation during four performances per day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being asked to sing in the presence of the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
